Parikatha

Some like to read stories, others write them, but many more like to show and tell stories. Beginning before we even take our first steps or develop the ability to talk, mimicking and doll play forms the basis of how we play and explore who we are and what we want to be. Parikatha was founded to help you share your stories with everyone! Pari means “fairy” and “katha” is tale/story. At Parikatha you can find one-of-a kind handmade wool felted dolls. Drawing from folklore, mythology and ancient tales never written down, you might find a character you have always wanted to enliven, speak for, and whose story you were meant to share. We also conduct boutique classes, workshops for educator & diverse puppet shows for early childhood education centers & elementary schools where culture-forward education becomes an extra-curricular activity for young minds.
