Kim Rohrer (founder) has spent the last 15+ years running People functions at VC-backed tech companies, typically as the first People leader, building and managing a team over time. Most recently, she worked across a variety of People Leadership roles at Oyster, a fully-remote tech startup with 600+ employees across 70+ countries. Kim built the People department from the ground up, in hypergrowth (from 75-650 employees in less than 18 months) and slowdowns (hiring freezes in 2022 and two layoffs in 2023), creating innovative global People practices along the way.
Prior to Oyster, Kim spent time at Stride Health, Disqus, Pixar, and Google, in addition to co-founding OrgOrg (community for PeopleOps professionals) and TendLab (advocating for working parents).
She is currently the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at PeakHR, while continuing to provide services to companies and individuals through Patchwork Portfolio.
