About PAWS Animal Welfare Society

Paws Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a non-profit animal shelter in Petaling Jaya that has been caring for unwanted dogs and cats since 1987. The animals are dewormed, fully vaccinated, neutered and put up for adoption. Currently, PAWS has over 250 dogs and 250 cats under its care. The shelter is entirely funded by donations from the public and proceeds from charitable events. The team consists of four office staff, a number of part-time veterinarians, one vet assistant, seven kennel workers and one driver. The organisation is a registered Society under the Registry of Societies of Malaysia and is led by an elected committee.
