Peasants' Museum & Guesthouse

Right now the villages all over the country are slowly dying, villagers are being forgotten & the cultural heritage is being lost. Our vision is to revive the villages of Moldova and bring them back to life, by restoring the old traditional houses and creating various outdoor activities & tourist attractions. We want to create a Revival Movement of Moldovan Villages, with a unique starting place in mind, an Architectural gem of Cultural Moldovan Heritage- “Molovata Noua” situated on the banks of Dniester River, minutes from Transnistria border, and only one hour away from Chisinau. Here we will facilitate activities such as kayaking, boat riding, biking, hiking, picking fruits/veggies, horse riding, participating in various arts & crafts masterclasses, and learning how to cook traditional Moldovan food. Together we will make villages accessible & attractive for local and international visitors. FUNDING GOALS: GOAL #1 ($10,000) Finish restoration of the 1st House, which is part of the “Peasants’ Museum” Complex by September of 2020, turning it into a Museum by Day & Traditional Guesthouse by night. The 1st House has an underground cellar, a separate summer house, and an outdoor garden that grows fresh fruit & vegetables. It is located on 11 Are territory right in the middle of Molovata Noua Village. (House has been already purchased, restorations are in process) GOAL #2 ($10,000) Purchase the 2nd House as an extension of the “Peasants’ Museum” Complex as soon as we get the necessary funding. The house has an underground cellar as well and is located on 12 Are of land, 200m from the Dniester river. GOAL #3 ($13,000) Restore the 2nd House by September of 2021, turning it into a Museum by Day & Traditional Guesthouse by night. We will build an outdoor kitchen in the backyard, where traditional Moldovan food will be cooked for guests & visitors. The front yard will host an outdoor movie theatre that will play cultural & historical films.
