Early 2014 the Pharma Collective initiative was founded based on an analysis and co-creation process in close collaboration with some independent pharmacists. This group was in terms of both age and geographical activity very diverse. The outcome of the analysis was translated to a first version of the “digital pharmacy” as an extension of the physical pharmacy.
From the start communication, thematic content, advice, accessibility, pharmaceutical care and integration with the existing pharmaceutical processes have been the pillars of the platform. Through the collaboration with the different pharmacists and their commitment as a customer to choose for the Pharma Collective platform from the beginning, this project was able to grow into an efficient solution which is in continuous development.
Pharma Collective is a “platform as a service” solution. This implies that all features are being developed and hosted, centrally. Each pharmacy website takes off features from the central platform but stands on its own.
