You read the copy, you write some copy, you easily find the nugget in the marketing strategy, you put yourself in the audience’s shoes and can sometimes even imitate them. You don’t think your first layout is the best one. You have trouble turning the “what if?” voice in your head off. You think small is beautiful You think living in Maine for more than one winter is beautiful. You can handle a few weeks of crazy busy and easily relax into a few days of basic work. You know how to mess up a tracing pad with a Sharpie and lay down a few really great ideas with a few strokes. REQUIREMENTS Four-year degree 1 year management experience 3+ years experience working in an agency environment. 6-8 years designing Command of all the usual tools: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Super-savvy in print production and able to deliver impeccable files Web design +experience working closely with Programming A portfolio that speaks for itself-even if some of the stories went really wrong.
