Pink-4-Ever Ending Disparities offers variable approaches and targeted interventions to meet the breast health needs of women and families, from prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship. Our work has an intentional focus on addressing the breast cancer disparities prevalent among Black women.
Our programs address gaps in services as identified through research data and community engagement, and is grounded in collaboration, often partnering with other stakeholders across the breast health community.
Our programs include:
Breast Health Advocates– training women to serve as advocates within the community, providing breast health information, support and connections to resources for women undergoing diagnostic tests and treatment
Junior Ambassadors – mentoring and leadership skills development for high school and college students, focusing on self-advocacy and promoting healthy lifestyle choices among their peers
Stay Alert, Stay Alive Breast Health Summit – two-day conference bringing together breast cancer survivors, health providers, caregivers, researchers, advocates and policy makers for engagement, education workshops and activities aimed to provide attendees with knowledge and resources to make healthier lifestyle choices and to take actions to foster better breast cancer outcomes
Survivorship Is A Lifestyle - offering continuous opportunities for learning, building, and sustaining healthy habits that foster a thriving and surviving lifestyle for breast cancer survivors, their family members and caregivers.
Proactively Pink Mammography Assistance – facilitating free screening mammograms and diagnostic services for uninsured women or women facing other barriers to accessing affordable services.
Nadine Whitlock Hayes Legacy Fund – providing financial assistance to women in treatment and help with the cost of genetic counseling and testing
S.I.S. (Sisters Inspired to Stand) – a support and empowerment group for breast cancer survivors and caregivers
