PIT.PA.LE is a Greek family based company which specializes in dough producing sector. Our products are all handmade and made strictly by virgin Greek raw material, that’s why our moto is “pie by hand- πίτα με το χέρι”.
The back-story of ours begins in 1973, when Georgios and Stella Papadopoulos, after many years of experience in food sector, started their own business, in Thessaloniki the hometown of “mpougatsa”, by producing traditional Greek pies and pastry leafs by only their own hands without any help of pastry machines or other people. Their old family recipe, which is founded from their grand grandparents, earned a big amount of Macedonia’s market share, especially in Thessaloniki, Pella and Khalkidhiki. By their customers trust, the business soared year after year.
Today, the 3rd generation of our family continuously set market trends by new innovative products based in tradition. We proudly produce traditional handmade pies with 30+ original flavors and different pastry leafs (“horiatiko”, “mpougatsa”, “kourou” and “sfoliata”). Also, quality assurance and consistency of our products is achieved by applying certified International Management systems during production. PIT.PA.LE’s greatest source of strength is our people, a 12+ family members, in which every single one have trained by Mrs. Stella Papadopoulou, our “yiayia”. The production facility is based in Lakkoma, Khalkidhiki in a 6,000 square meter area which is at a distance of 29 km far from Thessaloniki. In addition, our customers are not restricted only in Macedonia; we provide our products all around Greece and export in several European countries, to bakeries, coffee shops, mini/super markets even restaurants.
Finally, the company’s aim is to produce tasty high end products interwoven by tradition and love for the Mediterranean cuisine. As Mr. Georgios Papadopoulos would say “Our products are here to compete only against homemade pies of the Greek grandparents out there.”
