We share the vision of Placemaking X; "To make the spaces we live into places we love. Create a thriving, equitable, and sustainable world through the convergence of values, passion, and action around our public spaces", as well as the umbrella definition that Placemaking Europe has defined: "Placemaking is an approach to urban planning and design that focuses on the people who use a space, rather than just the physical structures or buildings. The idea is to create places that are not just functional, but also beautiful and meaningful to the people who live, work, and play there".
Additionally, we want to broaden the public's understanding of placemaking within Norway, build networks between Norwegian placemakers, and showcase Norwegian placemaking to an international audience.
