University institute of pharmaceutical sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been a pioneer institute in the field of Pharmacy education in India, established in the pre-independent India at Lahore, in 1944, has a history of nearly 80 years of revolutionising and establishing Pharma as a career option for the minds having a scientific inclination and those who think beyond the boundaries.
UIPS works with the vision of emerging as a global leader in pharmaceutical education and research with focus on innovation and technology, the institute has been proudly setting the high standard when it comes to the accomplishments of its faculty members, with the Stanford University, USA, listing 8 faculty of UIPS among the top 2% scientists across the globe in the field of Pharmacy & Pharmacology, the professors and scholars have been honoured with numerous laurels both at national and international level, with some of them being awarded with the fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, for their extraordinary contribution towards their respective fields.
