Educating young creatives for over 25 years For more than two decades, Platform One has offered high-quality education for young musicians. With courses ranging from BTEC level 2 up to postgraduate degree, students have the opportunity to develop the skills, experience and network to sustain a career in the modern music industry. Platform One’s post-16 programmes give students practical experience with performance and production while the degree courses focus on employability, enterprise and innovation. In 2023, Platform One branched out from music and launched courses in sustainable fashion. Study programmes include a BTEC level 3 and degree, giving aspiring designers a solid foundation of knowledge on sourcing sustainable fabrications, design, construction and cutting. Based in the historic Wadhams building in Newport town centre, students have the opportunity to work on live briefs, competitions and events that link with industry specialists and sustainable pioneers. Platform One is proud to partner with the Isle of Wight College and the University of Chichester.
