We are pleased to welcome you to the Department of Ports Management and Shipping (PMS) which belongs to the School of Economics and Political Science, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), the largest and most historic University in the country and international universities, located in Psachna, Evia, Greece. The Department of PMS is a newly established Department, whose operation began in the academic year 2019-2020. This new Department is added to the existing Departments of NKUA, offering a modern Curriculum that meets the requirements of our time! The mission of the Department of PMS, is to provide high quality integrated interdisciplinary education, the production of innovative theoretical academic and applied research and their connection to the modern needs of business, economy and society, with emphasis, inter alia, on shipping, ports, supply chain and marine environment. The Department of PMS is staffed with excellent quality Teaching Scientific Staff of international reach, with experienced and young executives with internationalized academic experiences and activities, covering a wide range of modern and dynamic scientific research disciplines. All the Staff of the Department - academic and administrative - always remain willing to the students for their continuous support, in order to make the duration of their academic studies creative, dynamic and worthy of the choice of our Department. The formation of a modern curriculum, the development of actions and collaborations with the wider maritime community and companies, interdisciplinary research activities and the use of multifaceted synergies, both within the School of Economics and Political Science and with international academics and academics and organizations, offer our students dynamic prospects and attractive development opportunities in all the companies of one of the most dynamic branches of the Greek and the world economy.
