Poetry for Planet

Poetry for Planet is an international youth-led creative movement to celebrate the unsung climate champions from across the world by documenting their unique struggles in creative formats such as poetry and prose. We seek to mold a universal fraternity of climate activists to recognize their collective psychological, social and financial struggles in an attempt to avert the climate crisis. FOR WHOM? •Climate leaders who are working on proactive and inspiring initiatives at regional or global level. •Bold poets and writers who are generating awareness about climate change through poetry and prose. •Climate advocates who want to share their deeply inspiring psychological struggles. •Leaders advocating for the mental health of climate activists and professionals. •Indigenous people who want to share their ancient wisdom and oral literary gems which shed light on sustainable practices and healthy ways of living in harmony with nature. OUR GOALS: -Providing due recognition to the climate leaders by documenting their struggles, ideas and initiatives in creative formats such as poetry and prose, in their native language. -Promoting local and indigenous literature and wisdom by sharing stories in the native languages of climate champions in the spirit of inclusivity and recognition. -Forging a universal fraternity of climate champions bound by common psychological and ideological struggle. -Generating awareness about mental health issues such as eco-anxiety, which are particularly plaguing the climate change advocates. -Building robust and proactive partnerships with private enterprises to provide monetary assistance to climate activists for their projects and initiatives.
