Our mission is simple: make today better and tomorrow brighter for our communities. With the invaluable support of our donors, we work with local communities to fight poverty and enrich lives for people across County Durham, the Tees Valley and the wider North East. We make it simple for you to have a positive impact in the communities you care about and support causes that matter to you. Whether you run a community group and want to apply for a grant or if you want to support local people with a personal or business donation, we’re here. Point North is a charity, a grant maker and a community foundation. This means we raise funds from donors and supporters who want to make a difference locally. We then grant those funds to voluntary organisations, community groups, or charities that are doing various things to fight poverty and enrich lives. Our grants support a wide range of community projects and organisations. Whether that’s helping young people achieve their potential, supporting elderly care programmes, or funding local arts and cultural events; Point North is here to create a better today and a brighter tomorrow for communities in County Durham and beyond.
