Pollux Communications LLC

Pollux Communications was incorporated as a Nevada LLC in 2004, but had been online since 1994. It was one of the first to publish for-profit, Web-only full magazines (AeroWeb, ComputerWeb, DefenseWeb). Publication of those was suspended in 1998 due to technical limitations of the Web at that time. Pollux remained a background testbed for the next few years and was given new life with its incorporation in late 2004, although it has continued to function primarily as a testbed for new approaches to online publishing, marketing and what is broadly referred to as infopreneurship. While engaging in some money-making efforts, the testbed aspect has remained central to Pollux Communications LLC. That is now expected to begin paying off as Pollux moves into the forefront of multiple online marketing and information distribution campaigns in 2011, with plans to add an active publishing program involving both physical and electronic books, whitepapers and magazines in 2012, along with a variety of blogs, podcasts and other methods of information distribution incorporating such new platforms as smartphones, computer pads and tablets, e-book readers, etc. In Internet years, Pollux is an ancient and venerable entity, going from a fast, full-out start to a period of slow but sustained evolution. In the second decade of the 21st Century, we expect to become an "overnight" success of the traditional type - through the culmination of years of trial and error and eternal commitment.
