POLPO is a bàcaro. This is a Venetian word to describe a humble restaurant serving simple food and good, young Italian wines. We offer seasonal small plates, Prosecco and spritz in a setting that reflects the gloriously faded elegance of Venice and the charms of its back street wine bars.
Our teams are well known for being friendly, enthusiastic & dynamic, and we pride ourselves on delivering a balance of knowledgeable service with warm personable hospitality.
The first branch of POLPO opened on Beak Street in September 2009. As well as the POLPO restaurants we also have Polpetto – an intimate neighbourhood restaurant with a slightly more refined and elegant offering – and Spuntino – a Prohibition-style speakeasy cocktail bar inspired by New York.
POLPO Ltd operates eight restaurants across London and Brighton.
