Pop 4 Diabetes

Pop 4 Diabetes is a non-profit fundraising organisation that works hard to raise funds for continuing research into finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Beneficiaries of our work include JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), Diabetes UK and Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation. Pop 4 Diabetes was started by Iris Board after her son Shane was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (also known as juvenile Diabetes) at the age of 11. Since the first Pop 4 Diabetes Charity Dinner in 2007, Pop 4 Diabetes has been very grateful for the support from celebrities such as Kerry Katona, Paul Daniels, Steve Brookstein and popular acts from talents shows 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'X-Factor' and Cbeebies star Chris Jarvis. Other supporters have included stars from Hollyoaks Eastenders and Coronation Street. Connie Talbot, Hollie steel, 2 Grand, Cheeky girls, Steve Norman from Spandau Ballet and Shelley Preston from Bucks Fizz.
