Portage Learning Centers is a nonprofit comprehensive program for Head Start and Early Head Start children from 0 to 5 years old in Portage County. With five branches in the county, our dedicated staff serves more than 300 families and children. We are determined to provide quality learning and care for our children.
Head Start is a no-cost preschool for low-income children three to five years of age. We provide children with the best possible preschool experience.
Early Head Start is a free program for infants, toddlers, pregnant women, and their families meeting established eligibility guidelines.
We are dedicated to optimizing the potential of children and families to succeed in life by promoting the empowerment of individuals and supporting positive growth and personal goal achievement. We believe in fostering the dignity and self-worth of all individuals.
