Practo Foundation Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing healthcare accessibility and quality for all. We partner with hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and like-minded groups who share our vision of empowering underprivileged communities to live longer, healthier lives.
Our primary focus is to address the unmet healthcare needs of marginalized populations, beginning with the pressing issue of cataracts. In India, eliminating cataract blindness requires around 15 million surgeries per year. To tackle this issue, we are establishing a robust healthcare provider network across South and East India, providing free cataract surgery and postoperative care. Our ultimate objective is to restore vision to those who are suffering and empower them to make positive contributions to their communities. We believe everyone has the right to access quality eye care services, and we are working tirelessly toward a world where preventable blindness is non-existent. Our target is to provide 10,000 free cataract surgeries by 2024.
