About Precision Periodic
Precision Periodic Nano Beads™ Ion Adsorption is the next generation filtration media for wastewater treatment, hydrometallurgy, refining and recycling. Nano Beads can extract elements from any waste, by-product or leach solution that is an acidic to neutral pH. We have successfully extracted elements out of pregnant leach solutions, groundwater, industrial wastewater, ion exchange rinse solutions, residual mine tailings, coal fly ash, acid mine drainage and phosphate mine waste. Once filtered by the beads, leach liquids can be reused. The Earth deserve better and it is time to reduce carbon footprints, chemical waste, and water usage. Nano Beads: • free flow solutions through the beads - requires no heat or pressure • filter media is very robust and does not swell • in column regeneration in <5 minutes • lasts for 6,000+ cycles • concentrates target elements 16.000:1 • 80 times faster kinetics than ion exchange • provides 500 square meters of surface area for each gram of beads • eliminates the long time and large space required for solvent extraction processes • reduces the enormous power consumption needed for membranes • no clogging for up to 12% solids at 75 microns in size Influent containing the targeted metal ions/complexes is flowed through Nano Beads filter media until the maximum adsorption capacity is reached. Once adsorbed, a rinse solution/releasing agent specific to the metal ions/complexes of interest is pumped through the filter to desorb the element/s. The beads are then ready to adsorb again. We have many different Nano Beads filters available that target precious metals, rare earth elements (REE), radioactive elements, and toxic elements. We also compile bespoke Nano Beads for specific adsorption of individual ions or bulk adsorption and elution for refinement. There are no limitations to system sizing or flow.
