PrEEmiuM

The goal of PrEEmiuM is to provide young engineers and scientists with a global perspective of (bio) pharmaceutical engineering by undertaking a comprehensive training program ranging from the manufacturing of nanomedicines to their scale-up. PrEEmiuM is based on three research training areas covering all innovative drug delivery systems and their specific challenges, all of which fall within the scope of process engineering: - Virus-like particles - Non-viral vectors - New pharmaceutical forms PrEEmiuM trainees will be well-prepared to access key positions in the industry that require an optimal integration of the concepts of "development" (research pharmacist), "scale-up" (engineering) and "marketability" "(Regulators / industry) from the very first moment of drug discovery. Funding for this program is provided by the NSERC CREATE program.
