Preserve Together offers a broad range of training and consultancy services to help you build capacity and skills for digital preservation. Sharon McMeekin and Paul Wheatley bring more than 40 years’ experience at prominent organizations, playing a leading role in advancing preservation good practice. This has included significant contributions during their time at the DPC to resources such as the Novice to Know-How training, the Rapid Assessment Model, and the DP Competency Framework, as well as toolkits on procurement, digital asset registers, and business cases. They have also contributed to major projects such as SCAPE, Planets, and E-ARK. We believe community and people are at the heart of preservation, and that is a core tenet of how we approach our work. Paul and Sharon have collaborated on projects with organizations such as IIPC, POWRR, NDSA, and DDHN, as well as being regular contributors to conferences, such as iPRES. Sharon also recently led a major project looking at mental health and wellbeing in the digital preservation community. Paul has worked with organizations around the world to solve preservation challenges, relating to procurement, advocacy, file formats, storage architecture, capability audit, and more.
