Project GENIUS | Empowering Local Solutions for Global Impact Project GENIUS is an initiative by students at Ahmadu Bello University, aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application. Our mission is to empower young innovators to address local challenges with sustainable and impactful solutions, fostering an environment where engineering, technology, and creative thinking intersect. Through competitions, workshops, and webinars, Project GENIUS provides students with hands-on experiences in problem-solving, project management, and entrepreneurship. Each year, participants engage in a series of challenges—from developing innovative prototypes to crafting business solutions—that help them hone their skills, gain industry insights, and make a meaningful impact in their communities. Our latest competition saw 52 teams and 178 participants tackle critical local issues, with projects judged by industry experts and backed by seed funding for finalists. Project GENIUS continues to inspire and equip the next generation of engineers and innovators, ensuring they are well-prepared to make their mark.
