Project Mobility, a non-profit technology startup, provides a platform for prosthetic doctors, and technicians to bring prostheses to the under-served 30 million amputees around the world. The system hardware incorporates a mobile 3D scanning system and 3D printer. The mobile scanner uploads amputee body dimensions to a web server, allowing teams around the world to design the prosthesis remotely and 3D print/assemble the prosthesis locally. Project Mobility will provide solutions for non-profit and for-profit groups to deliver their prosthetic solutions beyond their currently available patient base.
