PSM INTERNATIONAL CHANGES NAME TO BULTEN
In 2020, Bulten acquired PSM International. Large parts of PSM’s operations are already integrated with Bulten; and now, as part of Bulten’s 150th anniversary celebration in 2023, we are taking the next step by changing names. Our PSM operations in Asia have already changed their names to Bulten and our PSM unit in the US will be officially changing names at the end of 2023.
Background and Current Offering:
PSM International was founded in the British Midlands in 1931 under the name Precision Screw Manufacturing. The company developed a global footprint with additional operations in both the USA and Asia, and the name evolved to PSM International. Throughout its history, PSM International was a pioneer and innovator with captive-type products for both injection-molded plastics as well as sheet metal applications. Well-known innovations included Anchor® Rivet Bush, Sonic-Lok®, and Tri-Step®.
Bulten was founded in 1873 in Hallstahammar Sweden. Bulten subsequently established additional manufacturing locations in Germany, Poland and China. With a global HQ in Gothenburg Sweden, Bulten is presently one of the largest suppliers of fasteners to the global automotive industry. Additionally, with our Full-Service Provider (FSP) concept, Bulten is one of the few companies that can assume total responsibility for all fasteners for an entire platform, vehicle model, or factory.
Bulten’s current product offering includes Externally-Threaded Bolts, Nuts, Inserts For Plastics, Compression Limiters, Clinch Fasteners, Miniature Fasteners, and Specials. Our fasteners are used in the automotive and EV markets as well as mobile telecommunications, PC and notebooks, white goods & appliance, lawn & garden, and others.
