The Science Policy Society @ Penn State is a graduate student organization dedicated to bridging the gap between scientists, policy-makers, and the general public around the impact of science in our communities and daily lives.
Mission
Educate: Promote self-education in science policy and communication skills and current topics by providing members with learning and discussion opportunities;
Communicate: Provide access to community members to science happening at and around Penn State through science communication events and STEM outreach;
Engage: Engage with science policy and communication professionals, legislators, and community members around science policy issues;
Advocate: Practice advocating for STEM issues directly to legislative bodies at the local, state, and federal level.
