Founded in the year 1993, what was previously known as Power-Tech Industrial Supply started off as a general hardware store in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia. Over the years, we have grown from strength to strength and in 2013, we decided to re-align our business focus into a few key strategic industries by streamlining our product offerings and business operations. Power-Tech Industrial Supply was subsequently rebranded into PTIS Distribution Sdn Bhd (PTIS) to reflect the new direction of our business.
To ensure that our trajectory of growth does not plateau, we divested some of our assets into another operating subsidiary, known as JTE Asia Industrial Supplies Sdn Bhd (JTE) to focus on certain industries. Both PTIS and JTE are now privately held by our holding company, PTIS Group of Companies.
Today, PTIS focuses on serving our clients in traditional industries such as Construction and Manufacturing in Peninsular Malaysia and our other subsidiary, JTE, mainly serves key clients involved in the Marine, Oil & Gas industry both in East and West Malaysia.
Our core business activities relate to the marketing, trading and distribution of industrial tools, fittings, equipment and materials with a specific focus on MRO tools and equipment.
We pride ourselves as a project and factory-based industrial hardware supplier that continues to contribute to the engines of growth of our nation and economy. Our goal is to strive to become the industrial procurement's first choice.
