Our team has developed an ecosystem approach to understanding the 46.3 % youth at risk rates (youth not in employment, education or training) in the Western Cape. As youth leaders, we underpin Pan-Africanism as a lens and premise our explorative journeys with our clients in line with our values based paradigm centered on the indigenous Khoi/San practices as a means of curbing the youth at risk rates in Cape Town. Through our action research processes, we as a collective of social innovators unpack the legacy of colonisation on the Western Cape economy. The collective iterates solutions that based on a systemic lens of youth unemployment in the province to position indigenous Khoi and San practices as a restorative justice tool in developing an inclusive, sustainable community by 2050.
