QED Technical Services specializes in the testing, commissioning, repair and maintenance of electrical power system equipment. We have extensive experience working on heavy industrial sites, generating plants and high voltage substations.
QED also provides customized energy management strategy development and execution services, as well as, effective BC Hydro account and interconnection management.

QED Technical Services began in 2016 with the belief that electrical field services are much more than just filling out test sheets. Our industry-leading safe work practices, timely solutions and complete engineering support provide the best value results for our client’s needs. QED's ownership team has more than 80 years of combined industry experience, providing an array of high quality services that few of our competitors can match.
FIELD SERVICES
Industry leading expertise in testing, commissioning, protection, repair, oiling, gassing and training for: Switchgear & MCCs (600V to 35kV), Gas Insulated Switchgear (up to 230kV), Transformers (up to 500kV, 500MVA), Breakers (up to 500kV), Substations (15kV to 500kV), and Generators (up to 300MVA).
Other services include: Condition Assessment, Electrical Safety Training, Project Management, Customer coordinated Guarantee of Isolation (GOI), Project Lockout (PIC), Arc Flash Assessments, Power Quality Analysis, and Power System Troubleshooting.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Services include: energy management strategy development, goal setting & continuous improvement, employee engagement & communications, energy reduction project identification, project portfolio evaluation & prioritization, and M&V.
As well as, BC Hydro account management, interconnection process navigation for customers & generators, and incentives.
