Engagement Solutions — Hands-on, Interactive, and Personalized Curriculum R1 delivers greater engagement with the leading evidence-based and best practices for substance use disorder and other mental health conditions. The R1 Learning System’s training, tools, and technology solutions provide a comprehensive, modular, and scalable approach for both onsite and virtual programs. The R1 Learning System leverages techniques from evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to engage, educate, and empower individuals to grow their own long-term recovery. The System increases workforce effectiveness by providing practitioners with an approachable and repeatable process to ‘plug-and-play’ evidence-based strategies in core counseling competencies such as those in SAMHSA’s TAP 21. R1 Content is grounded in proven models, adopted from the work of the original authors and experts, and supported by research. Discovery Cards are structured to ‘meet people where they are’ in terms of background, education, experience, and emotional level and offer engaging practices for treatment, counseling, coaching, and peer support.
