Since 1990 RAF has pioneered active matrix LCD, LED, & OLED flat panel displays, solid state lighting (SSL), thin film optical filters and both imaging & nonimaging optics. Founder, Dick Flasck, also is an expert witness in high tech patent litigation. RAF, a 2019 CalSEEED Concept Awardee, is commercializing patented ultra-high efficiency Solid State directional lighting. The beachhead market is theatrical spotlights. Our proprietary technology, using nonimaging optics and etendue matching, provides cool operation, a 10x power reduction and zero maintenance. Customer power costs and GHG emissions are reduced. Clean high tech manufacturing jobs in disadvantaged communities in the California Central Valley are being created.
