In 2011, Suzanne Al Houby - the first Arab Woman to summit Everest and to achieve the 7 Summits feat- set out to turn her passion for adventure into something greater - founding the first professional adventure travel company in the Middle East. As an explorer at heart, a true rahhalah, she wanted to inspire others to embrace the spirit of discovery. Our name, Rahhalah, is deeply rooted in history. When Arabs once ruled vast territories, travel was a way of life - driven by curiosity, courage, and an insatiable desire to learn. Those who roamed far and wide, crossing borders in search of new horizons, were known as rahhalahs - nomads of exploration, always on the move. Since 2011, we’ve ventured into more than 100 countries, traversing deserts, summiting mountains, exploring hidden caves, swimming in remote rivers, and camping beneath starlit skies. What began as a passion has become a movement, inspiring more adventurers to join us every day. But beyond the landscapes we explore, the true journey is one of transformation - discovering the world, the self, embracing beauty, and forming lifelong connections.
