Rollingstock Maintenance: Rail First provides servicing, maintenance, painting, and overhaul services across all wagon and locomotive types. Crew Van Overhaul and Rebuild: We provide unique building and major overhaul capabilities for crew vans servicing the requirements of Australia’s long haul interstate network. Wagon Construction: Rail First is proud to be the only domestic manufacturer of intermodal equipment in Australia. We can build 40’ and 60’ skeletal and 48’ well wagons to meet your needs. Rail First Asset Management has been in operation since the privatisation of the rail industry in the late 1990’s, originally as a subsidiary of the Sasser Family Holdings, Inc. (SFH) a 4th generation, family-owned transportation asset services company with experience dating back to 1928 in the USA. The group is now owned by Amber Infrastructure Group and DIF Capital Partners, which also have significant experience globally in asset management, leasing and financing.
