We are Rapid Fire Theatre, and we are proud to be Edmonton’s premiere destination for improvised comedy! We aim to provide affordable, high-energy improvisation and alternative theatre to our audiences, while providing exciting opportunities for our participants.
Our Theatresports show is the third-longest-running Theatresports offering on the planet, and has been produced regularly since 1988. Rapid Fire's other programming includes CHiMPROV (weekly, long form), MAESTRO (monthly, short form), Northern Alberta Improv League (monthly, high school programming), WILDFIRE (our high school festival), BONFIRE (long form experimental festival), and IMPROVAGANZA (Edmonton's alternative comedy festival).
We offer shows every Friday and Saturday at 7PM & 9:30PM.
We offer monthly public improv classes, as well as corporate training, team building, and event entertainment.
We received a Canadian Comedy Award in 2013 for our video "Internet Search History Revealed", and we were nominated in 2014 as "Best Improv Troupe". We have been voted "Edmonton's Best Theatre Company" two years in a row by VUE Weekly readers, and we have been honoured with an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for Excellence in Theatre.
