The infrared cleaning system uses the scanner hardware and works highly effective against dust, mold and scratches and prevents the loss of details that is common with pure software processes. IR-Clean can process all 35mm colour negative and colour reversal (slide) films including Kodachrome – mounted slides and film strips as well. Here are the advantages at a glance:
• With IR-Clean we have developed an infrared-based dust and scratch removal systems, which can use a camera scanner with an industrial lens.
• Digital cleaning based on hardware prevents the loss of details, which is a common issue of only software-based processes.
• »IR-Clean« supports all color slide films including Kodachrome.
You always receive 3 files per slide:
• The Contrast-Adjustment file is to be preferred for well-preserved film material. After the IT8 color calibration, there is no further intervention in the color balance.
• On the other hand, the Colour-Adjustment file can improve color casts in older slides.
• The RGBi archive file (64-bit, AdobeRGB) for post-processing.
