ReBone Project: Pioneering the Future of Bone Trauma Care. The ReBone project is at the forefront of transforming bone trauma care. It aims to implement a performance-guided surgical concept by reducing the time from planning to procedure, minimizing error sources, integrating automated planning tools and processes within care facilities, and empowering surgeons. This ambitious project targets the fields of orthopedics and traumatology. The ReBone project’s vision is structured around six interconnected axes: 1. Digital Twin for Assisted Diagnosis and Preoperative Planning: This includes imaging data collection and labeling, automated segmentation using AI (U-Net architecture), anatomical and functional prediction (Statistical Shape Model), and repositioning. 2. Real-Time Decision-Making Assistance: A collaborative surgical planning platform featuring 3D visualization, modeling, and assisted preoperative planning. 3. 3D-Printed Patient-Specific Instrumentation and Models: For preoperative simulation, training, and intraoperative guidance. 4. 3D-Printed Modular Implants: Ensuring anatomical and biomechanical reliability through numerical simulation models with finite element analysis. 5. Surgical Guidance Mixed-Reality Application: Incorporating imaging display, planning steps review, intraoperative guidance, and hologram resetting. 6. Educational Digital and Collaborative Tools, Platforms, and Programs. To achieve these goals, the project will establish four technological platforms: * A structured and shared data hub, * An augmented operating room, * A 3D printing platform at the point of care, * A metaverse with a surgical planning platform. A comprehensive 360° evaluation process will ensure proper integration and valorization within the specific healthcare ecosystem. The pedagogical aspects will be thoroughly addressed, benefiting from these platforms from initial to continuing education. Supported by France 2030, ANR-23-RHUS-0011.
