Redemptorist Social Services Center continues to be the heart of mid-town Kansas City! 2016 marked the Center’s 30th year of providing a lifeline to individuals facing chronic poverty, the working poor, the elderly, the home-bound and the homeless, the newly and the long term unemployed. Our comprehensive programs of Emergency Client Assistance, Senior Services, Legal Assistance and Health Maintenance provide over 1,900 critical client assists each month with shelter, utility and medical needs, food, clothing and transportation, education and work related needs. We convey our sincerest gratitude and thanks to the individual donors, churches, businesses and grant foundations whose financial support has been instrumental in our growth and success. You made it all possible and we couldn’t have done it without you! The caring, competent and knowledgeable staff personally works one on one with clients to help with the client’s current crisis and uncover contributing factors. Center staff and volunteers carry out their mission of serving the poor and elderly with a passion that is unsurpassed. Their reputation in the non-profit community of Kansas City is one of respect and admiration. Our mission is to prevent a temporary crisis from becoming a permanent tragedy. As a result, the Center is continually evolving to meet the changing needs of their clients and the community. The result of this commitment by the Board, volunteers and staff allows the Center to operate with a high degree of efficiency. As the Center continues its commitment to serve, we will add new programs and services based on the need. Our close ties to the community have served the Center well as we seek support for our projects that provide stability and hope to the people of metropolitan Kansas City.
