Reet Aus is a PhD-qualified fashion designer and environmental activist, a human rebel who founded REET AUS COLLECTION® and THE UPSHIRT®. She is a pioneer in the field of industrial upcycling for fashion, and has developed the UPMADE® certification in order to pass on her knowledge to brands and factories. All of this is in order to reduce the environmental footprint of the fashion industry, and to show change is possible! 💙
By producing items made of production leftovers only, we manage to reduce and prevent waste already in the fashion manufacturing process. We are using design as a solution, instead of it being the reason for even more waste. We are UPMADE® certified and offer this certification, which we developed together with the Stockholm Environmental Institute, to brands and factories. Through this integral Industrial Upcycling method, we give consumers, brands, and factories new options for sustainable consumption.
