Research & Evaluation Services Ltd (RES) consultancy based in London and Nairobi specialising in supporting humanitarian and resilience programming actors. RES places emphasis on capacity building and producing visual and impactful information products to inform decision makers and programme strategy. RES specialises in the following areas: - Impact evaluation utilising statisical and qualitative methods, ensuring the engagement of project teams and other stakeholders in the process. - Evidence synthesis of secondary data (eg. project evaluation reports) and statistical meta-analysis. - Designing and implementing needs assessments, surveys or thematic assessments, including design of data collection tools and sampling frames, data analysis and reporting. - GIS skills and producing maps of findings to enable visual and impactful reports. - Development of programme MEAL frameworks and proposals. - Capacity building in any of these areas with project teams or partners. Consultancies 2015 - 2017: - Humanitarian Leadership Academy (in partnership with Groundswell Global Research): evaluation of business continuity planning programme in the Philippines. - Humanitarian Leadership Academy (in partnership with Groundswell): baseline study of the humanitarian capacity building landscape amongst a range of stakeholders, Middle-East. - World Relief: evaluation ‘Community & Household Resilience in Rural Somaliland’. - Oxfam: analysis of impact survey data following the Nepal earthquake response. - Oxfam: analysis of global humanitarian response quality utilising the Core Humanitarian Standard (reporting to UK DFID). - Save the Children UK: impact analysis of humanitarian and resilience programmes, including appraising the quality of evaluation methodologies.
