About RESIST - Interreg BSR Project

In the project RESIST, regional authorities, business support organisations and sectoral agencies develop a model of how to open up existing regional innovation ecosystems for social innovators and social entrepreneurs tackling societal and environmental challenges. Under the leadership of the Hamburg Ministry of Economics and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, 13 partner organizations from seven countries in the Baltic Sea region are working together to build or further develop strong, resilient ecosystems for social enterprises and social innovations in their regions. In addition, the aim is to make conventional innovation promotion services more accessible to social enterprises and to improve cross-sectoral cooperation between administration, business and civil society. As a result, various mutually inspiring so-called Clusters of Social and Ecological Innovation (CSEI) are being created in the partner regions. The project is located at the interface between business and society and strengthens both economic competitiveness and resilience as well as social cohesion in the Baltic Sea region by promoting social innovation. The RESIST project is implemented within the framework for the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Program and is co-funded by the European Union. #socialinterreg #madewithinterreg @interregbalticsearegion picture credits: picture 1: Mediaserver Hamburg / Christian Brandes; picture 2: Sarah Nagel
