Respect to Protect

Respect to Protect is an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union that aims to bridge the gaps between mental health and citizen protection and security fields. The project focuses on empowering Citizens Protection and Security Professionals (CPSP)—including police officers, firefighters, civil protection agents, and other frontline personnel—by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to respond effectively and respectfully to mental health-related situations. RTP promotes a blended training approach that combines online and face-to-face learning, addressing both crisis intervention techniques and the importance of self-care and emotional well-being among security professionals. It also supports VET trainers and educators by providing innovative, adaptable resources tailored to the unique challenges of this field.
