As pioneers in sustainable agriculture we want to change the way rice is farmed to address one of humanity’s biggest challenges: climate change. Our mission is big but achievable: to remove 1 Gigaton of carbon from the rice value chain by 2035. To do this we’re using the latest technologies – IoT sensors, satellite monitoring and AI driven insights – to reduce greenhouse gas emissions like methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O). These are powerful greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming, methane is up to 80 times more impactful than CO2 over a 20 year period. But methane’s shorter atmospheric life presents a unique opportunity for near term climate action. We believe innovation can turn rice farming into a climate action lever while ensuring global food security.
