RISE Forth Valley

We provide support to families in the Forth Valley area, Scotland, through our regular activities and a partnership for external agencies who look to engage with ethnic minorities. Our prominent programmes are the Athletics and Football Club and Wee Steps. The AFC provides free coaching to children and young people of all abilities and needs and a place of mentoring, peer support and sense of belonging. We participate in cultural tournaments organised by the Scottish FA and hosted our own community tournament in 2019. Wee Steps is a culturally sensitive mother and child peer support group. We address issues such as mental and psychical well being, parenting, domestic abuse, racism and support for families with children with additional supports needs. Other projects have included: Forest School (& Camping), Eid in the Park, Eid in the Woods, World Hijab Day, and annual family excursions. We are run by volunteers from Falkirk and surrounding areas and specialise in building partnerships and providing or finding support to those feeling disadvantaged or isolated. We believe in empowering families and nurturing the next generation.
