Rising lights Foundation NPC was born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, when it became clear that most Black owned small and medium enterprises (SMME’S) were unable to access Government or Private sector incentives or grants due to their regulatory “paperwork” not being up to date.
Our Section 18A status, made it easy to partner with SME.TAX and their unique “Adopt an SME” programme. Through your Tax-Deductible donations, ordinary citizens and smaller businesses are able to band together and assist sustainable SME’s who require Accounting and Tax Support, Market Access & help with Government Incentive programmes in pursuit of job creation.
A 2018 SME survey indicated – 65% of SMEs experienced an increased red tape burden and as a result spent on average 75 hours a month dealing with regulatory matters – the equivalent of 8 working days.
Mission
Our Mission is to fight unemployment through interventions of skills training and education targeted at creating jobs. Our approach is to target the impoverished sectors of society and chart practical solutions with measurable results and reporting so that we can track our progress and impact on society. We work with all employers, both small and large, to fight the scourge of unemployment and financial exclusion.
