Our engineers visit facilities to conduct a thorough review of process and natural hazards. This will include reviewing the Construction of the facility, the Occupancy hazards, how well the site is Protected and what Exposures exist externally as well as from natural catastrophes such as earthquake, windstorm, hail, and flood. This “COPE” approach to assessing risk within a facility is key. We review the COPE, Business Interruption Hazards and Preventive Maintenance Programs to determine the Risk Quality of the site. A company review is also performed to better understand the Company Risk Exposures. Analysis of risk grading, recommendations and loss expectancies allow for an in-depth review process that can provide meaningful insight on a company’s risk profile and appetite for risk retention.
Our engineers have an average of 28+ years' experience. The majority have previous experience and training working as Property Loss Prevention Consultants for FM Global or IRI. Most are Professional Engineers or have their CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) designation.
We focus on leveraging our experience and technical knowledge of FM Global and NFPA Standards to reduce risk and exposures at large commercial and industrial properties. Our business operations are set up on a global basis and our customer base consists of Insurance Brokers, Carriers and working directly with Insureds.
We look beyond codes and Insurance Company requirements to help develop solutions that are practical, effective, and economical.
RLI performs property loss prevention services and is an approved vendor for most property insurance carriers. Our reports have been accepted by the insurance community in Europe, Bermuda, and throughout Asia and the USA.
RLI has the capacity to inspect up to 2,000 properties in 2023.
