Collaborated with a team using the engineering design process to develop a more efficient diffuser for steam turbines. Since it is located between the last row of blades and the condenser, efficiency is increased when the shape changes with the ambient conditions, effectively minimizing pressure loss between sections. A prototype was created to demonstrate the final design.
