The River District Association (RDA) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation established in 1999 to promote the businesses, attractions and history of Danville’s downtown community that is now enthusiastically called the River District. The RDA is also a designated Virginia Main Street Community Partner and Accredited National Main Street Center Program Member. Guided by the National Main Street Center’s Four-Point Approach, the RDA develops transformation strategies that contribute to River District revitalization and that increase demand for River District products and services.
