Riviere Rugs

Founded in 2005, Riviere rugs designs and weaves custom, hand made rugs of exceptional quality and style. The designs reflect our passion for understated elegance and timeless glamour. Working mostly with interior designers and architects, the projects range from town houses to yachts. Using best grade Tibetan wool and pure Chinese silk, rugs are entirely handcrafted with a minimum of 100 knots per inch in our workshop in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. We also offer other knot counts and yarns including mohair, linen and hemp. With a library of nearly 2000 colours, size, shape, colourways, texture, yarn, pile height and scale can all be specified. In addition to our own collection, we also offer a fully bespoke service helping clients with their own ideas. We can very quickly provide scaled, rendered sketches and if required, can produce custom samples. Our rugs are unique – combining craftsmanship and creativity to produce pieces that are original, beautiful and will last for generations. In an increasingly mass produced world, we are proud to be part of a highly skilled artisan tradition. The Riviere flagship Showroom based on the 46 Lots Road, allows customers to view the wide collection of rugs, most of which are ready for immediate delivery.
