Rochdale Connections Trust

Rochdale Connections Trust Charity was founded in 1997 by a group of Youth Court Magistrates who had become increasingly concerned by the number of young people coming before them who had little or no family support. They identified that many of them were not attending school and were becoming socially excluded and marginalised, impacting negatively on their self-worth, self-esteem and confidence. They actively set about connecting the identified young people with adults to help them return to education and training via a range of social inclusion intervention programmes. We have evolved over the years to expand our provision to include work with socially isolated adults and those with complex needs, although we remain highly committed to our original targeted youth support programme.
