Mission: Harnessing the power of ICT for positive social impact Vision: Empowered Societies through ICT Founded in 2012 in Syria, Roia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation specialising in information and communication technology (ICT) for aid and development. We offer local communities and civil society organisations across the Middle East technical solutions to boost their operational efficiency, streamline their communications and have a greater impact. Roia, meaning vision in Arabic, aims is to work in partnership with disadvantaged communities to build a more equitable, sustainable and connected world. Roia believes the most meaningful way of achieving this ambition is by creating the conditions that empower communities to make their own positive change. We understand the fundamental importance of ICT to enable individuals and groups wanting to mobilize for a good cause to broaden their reach, unite and collaborate, and we aim to expand our work to help them achieve their goals.
